  • Your rights Under the ADA: 
    1. State and local governments, businesses, and organizations that serve the public must allow service animals to accompany their handlers in all areas the public is allowed to go. 
  • Your responsibilities under ADA:
    1. Your service dog must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless your disability prevents using these devices or these devices interfere with the service dog’s safe and effective performance of tasks. 
    2. You must take effective action to ensure your dog remains under your control. 
    3. You must ensure your dog is housebroken.
